Well, the year end totals are now posted for anyone who is interested. We have EFS and QCFR’s totals together and also broken out for each location. Even though we are the same entity, we run as if we are separate. We tally up year-end totals and numbers and then compile it all. We do get to monitor QCFR’s bank account though, just because it’s part of being a branch. It makes it easy when we transfer food/supplies around to just move money from one account to the other.

My ferrets seem happy to be back home from the show. They’re coveting the purple/hot pink ribbon though.. to make Cathy jealous of its beauty. The other part about the ribbon Cathy didn’t mention is that it isn’t just purple and hot pink, but purple, PLAID, and hot pink! Smokin’

The upstairs bathroom that we use primarily for washing ferret junk is getting a little updating. A new floor and some moulding. Just enough to make it tolerable until we do the big remodel. It’s still looking like the 70s bathroom it is, but for a room that’s primary purpose in life is to have litterboxes and water bottles washed in it, (and the cat box lives there too) I think “70s bathroom” is probably doing ok. I’m feeling better about the whole thing. I have most of the trim painted in the hallway leading to the shelter too and have 3 gallons of “Cotton Whisper” in semi-gloss ready to go into the hallway. I’m hoping to reduce the number of smudges, dings, fingerprints, etc. that shelter traffic, my goofy dog, and Sandon’s hands leave around. Who knows when that will be finished though. I can’t paint with a toddler around.

Well it’s late, but with only 8 ferrets in the shelter it only took me about half and hour to do a cleaning run-through of the shelter tonight.
