Pet Expo update & for the love of garbage men
Wednesday, April 30th, 2008The pet expo went off pretty well last weekend. We made a lot of great contacts and worked on getting the adoption message and show out into the public. Most people were receptive to us and only a few gave the “I had no idea” look. From the Expo we have a few announcements:
Dr. Dawn Sessions
Broadway Veterinary Hospital
1216 Broadway Ave.
Boise, ID
She is now on our list of recommended vets.
Garbage!!
Ok, for the rest of the world this isn’t news, but get this, we now have *drum rollllllll* Garbage pick up! Woo!! No more weekly dump trips! I feel so modern
In all seriousness, this will help with our dirty litter issue as all garage bags can safely go outside to wait for pickup, rather than needing to keep them in cans indoors (animals outside open the bags.. yeah, don’t even think about how gross it is) . Now that we have a 64 gallon industrial-power garbage can on wheels, things will be a lot easier on us. Who knew $16 per month could make a gal so happy?
Show postcards will be out soon, for those of you who we are in contact with often or told you about the show already, we are not sending you a “save the date” postcard.. It’s July 12th and shame on you if you forgot
Garage Sale in Emmett on May 10th.
Oh, and as an aside, Annie, our dog is going to be the breast cancer survivor dog for the Walk for the Cure! She had 5 of her mammary glands removed from cancer about 6+ years ago. I had no idea she’d be a celebrity!
