Emmett is a very sweet boy who is improving every day. Emmett and his cagemate Wendall came in very thin, dirty, infected, and thankful that their rescuer took them and brought them here. Emmett's nose is about 1/4 inch too short and when he arrived his entire nose was swollen shut, he couldn't walk and he was all skin and bones. Ferret resilience and the ability to recover is astounding. Although his nose will never be perfect again, he has full use on one side and the other side is still healing, he should have no issue in the future. He's put on weight, walks around, plays, and cuddles. He is very happy to eat shelter kibble instead of tortillas and bread that he was eating for a month before he arrived. When his nose is clearer and he is able to take anesthesia, we will get him adrenal surgery. Emmett is such a sweet boy. We'd like him and Wendall to stay together; they are both good with children.
